Engine Bay :

all components removed including: hoses, thermostat housing ,cooling system, tool box, starter motor, generator, fuel pump ,radiator ,header tank , tank overflow reservoir and all other misc pcs parts including exhaust system

-everything in engine bay completely cleaned and refinished
-stripped primed repainted: firewall ,tool box ,windshield wiper motor
– replaced all rubber grommets thru firewall
– sent out for rebuild ;starter and generator ,to specialty shop in CA at which time they were also refinished to factory specifications
– replaced belt(s)
– installed NOS fuel pump
– sent water pump out for rebuild ,refinished to factory specifiactions
-had both the radiator and (copper) header tank restored and refinished and or polished as well as related copper tubes
– had Griffin radiator make a custom polished aluminum over flow tank for header tank
-replaced cast aluminum thermostat housing with new one after having it powder coated silver
-replaced all coolant hoses with new blue silicone rubber ones, all hose clamps where applicable used original period style double wire clamps
-replaced front fender spreader bar ( near radiator) with new one machined from stainless steel rod
– all hardware thru firewall removed and replaced with ss
– headers ,repainted with special high temperature white paint

Front End

– everything cleaned and recoated as per original
– misc bits replaced and adjusted
– headlamps , turn signal lamps replaced with NOS
– added ss support bars to hold up engine bonnet sides
– added new sheepskin bonnet strap
– ss mesh added inside grille added several new badges
– all metal (steel) components such a fog and driving light brackets media blasted and then powder coated silver
– installed NOS front bumper
– installed NOS ss mesh head light stone guards
– installed all new exhaust system , after having it specially “Jet Hot Coated” to resist rust & corrosion, added new ss flex tubing from headers to exhaust and also added custom made ss heat shield to protect the passenger seat from muffler heat, & replaced all exhaust hangers at same time

Windshield

– disassembled ,cleaned frame ,polished and then installed new glass and new bottom rubber sealing strip
– replaced wiper armas & blades and any misc rubber gaskets where mounted thru chassis

Cockpit

– removed all components , cleaned everything
– refinished all internal components ,repainted as necessary
– had all seat and transmission tunnel red leather redyed ,to retain original leather components
– had high end restoration shop , make new floor rugs ( includes 1 extra set of floor matts) from original specification wool rug material bound with black leather to include rear tray (behind seats ) and also includes a leather bound rug for the bottom of the tool box under bonnet
– had a ss seat belt bar engineered and installed ,includes new multi point seatbelts
– installed new fiberglass hardtop per TOK specifications, cockpit is much quieter ,(removes easily and quickly) had special skirt made so it required no body modifications in rear corners utilizes existing hardware in place for former weather gear

Rear End

– removed sheet metal under spare tire and discoved the sheet metal had inscribed into it (at factory) all numbers to agree with important numbers (engine ,frame,transmission) proving it to be a totally numbers matching automobile
– all components powder coated reinstalled except for above section which was replaced with new old one was preserved & will accompany the car
– all lamps replaced with NOS including liscence plate light
– rear bumper replaced NOS bumper

Under Car

-car was extensively and meticulously cleaned underneath after which everything was repainted to factory specs ,the result is the underside of the car is as new in appearance and cleanliness

Wheel /Tires

– all 5 wire wire wheels replaced with new (jet black color) wires as well as adding new Vredestein tires
– NOS knock offs added

NOTES:

Car is a 3 owner to me so a total of 4 owners since new , its a rare Low Line model with left hand drive, low Milage (52,000?) during our disassembly it is the opinion of those who worked on the car that its a true survivor having never been “restored” and that it bares its original paint .So a rare car indeed.Its been lovingly owned and its is dubious its ever been driven in wet or inclimate weather which explains its amazing state of preservation .

In summary its an extremely well sorted nice driving auto with no issues and is ready for its next owner with no excuses …………

Car sells ,conveys with :

– soft top and requisite bows as well as side curtains all in excellent condition
– original factory oil cooler not installed ( it has a deep finned aluminum sump oil pan so it was not required)
– Cast aluminum Lawrence Tune valve cover (never installed)
– Tonneau cover
– original rear metal panel as described above (went under spare tire) with all numbers inscribed by factory
